The owls

The starting inspiration for this impressive staircase came from the owls in the name of the estate. Jop has incorporated the story of the owls in his staircase in several ways. Watchful and wise, the two owls on either side are the gatekeepers of the stairs. In addition, Job has subtly captured the graceful flight of the owls where the stairs divide into two paths and the gracefully curved forms of handrails and railings.
