The snake, the bowl and the apple
In this staircase, Jop combined a number of symbols that together form an intriguing story. The winding snake forms the main baluster and directly links the staircase to the pharmaceutical background of the client. The symbolism is enhanced by the addition of a poison cup in which the apple of Adam and Eve lies. The flowing shape of the snake continues in the round railing, ensuring that the pillars and stairs form a balanced whole.
